The below descriptions are only “GUIDELINES” and the ultimate classification is the overall strength of the team. Teams may be reclassified at any time by the Arkansas USSSA State office. ALL teams will be looked at every Tuesday from online reports.

 

Teams are moved UP AND DOWN based on:

• Overall win/loss record

• In-class record

• Out of class record

• Power rating

• How they place in tournaments

• Input from other tournament directors.

 

General criteria is below:

 

Move up parameters:

• 8-10 games played

• Power rating: 1200

• Winning %: .750 and above

 

“A” Teams

The top teams in the State for each 2nd year age groups. ALL players must be rostered online. Team managers either select this class upon registration for the season or teams are moved up by the State Director based off the criteria above.

 

“Open” Teams

The top teams in all 1st year age groups. (9U, 11U, 13U, 15U, 17U) ALL players must rostered online and ALL players must be age eligible.

 

“B” Teams

Middle of the “pack” teams

 

“C” Teams

Lower Level of Travel Play Teams cannot register as “C” This is a policy set by the USSSA National Office. Teams have to request this Classification from the State Director. ALL players must be rostered online. REC/ALL-STAR Teams that are Primarily drafted and play in a league. Teams cannot register as REC/ALL-STAR These teams may also play in C Class events. ALL players must be rostered online.
